For those who haven't seen it, basically, the girl in the middle (Cleopatra) married the midget sitting on a chair next to her (Hans) in order to get his inheritance. This is the wedding reception, and the other "freaks" decide to accept her, in spite of her being a "normal" person. But she refuses and even insult them.
The real monsters in this movie are not the "freaks", who are nice and trusting people, but Cleopatra and her lover Hercules (the guy laughing on the right).
